The Agency through its direct care staff carefully acknowledge the individual's exercise of rights while being equally sensitive to protecting the individual's health and safety by recognizing and identifying strategies to assist the individual in the exercise of those rights. Though this approach may sometimes, create tension between the freedoms of choice, there are interventions necessary to protect the individuals concerned from harm.
